Daniel arrives in Beijing, where Mr. Han has been looking for him. Han has a new protégé, Li Fong. The two mentors must work together to teach Li Fong, but it remains to be seen whether their teaching approaches will be compatible. On November 21, 2023, Sony released a video featuring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan announcing that they are both returning for a new film as well as a global casting call for the new titular "Karate Kid".
