Plot
11-year-old Alfonso, heir to Don Quixote, and his 3 imaginary, musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria in saving their beloved town of La Mancha from a huge storm. References E.T. (1982). I just saw it in the theater. Boy, is it bad. There’s a fart joke, or something similar, every few minutes. For some reason, in the last few scenes there’s a mime for no reason other than cheap laughs. No one laughed. Seriously, maybe one in eight jokes got a reaction from the audience even though they were mostly kids. The animation was average at best. In particular, the main character, Alfonso, looked cheap like they bought the model from some animation library. The script and story lacked sensitivity. Some scenes just didn’t make any sense. The imaginary characters could have played a big part in the movie, but they were just a weird subplot. There are so many better kids movies out there.
